IF-ing.. Finally!

Hi Anna

I just wanted to give you a little update on my progress. All of last week I did what you did and that was to have one meal at night.

I couldn't get myself to only juice for 8-10 days like I wanted. But already this is a big step for me to not constantly put food in my body. I am very proud to say that I fasted for about 36 hours to kick start my ESE yesterday.

Today I just eat a normal amount of food instead of binging like I would've in the past. I also started training with a trainer and today is my 6th day working out! Of course I work out in a fasted state. It makes me feel like I'm burning more fat!:) so thanks again for your website and I will keep on posting...

Editor's Notes:

Hi Yuna, great to hear from you. Congratulations! You've got a good start. I must say the first 36 hour fasting window could be a little challenging. But once you can do it the first time, you can do it the second time and so on. The more you do it, the better you will feel. But personally I'll do 24-hour window more often than 36. I only do a longer fast once a month, like 40 hours or so; or when I feel I'm overeating.

The beauty of ESE is that you can do it flexibly without fixing a schedule. That will encourage you to go on. Right?

Hope to see a slimmer you soon. Post some photos if you have any. Bye.

Hi Anna! it's Yuna. Just wanted to give you a bit of update on my progress..so I was very good at ESE for like 2 months.

Then something happened and i went back to my old ways of eating. I realized that once i start eating breakfast I cannot stop for the rest of the day. So feeling defeated I ate everyday without ESE for another month. So after Mother's Day binge/overeating I had enough. so I am happily reporting that I am on my way to getting back on track.

The cool thing is I've lost like 8lbs through ESE and didn't go terribly off track. So my starting weight when I first wrote to you was 132lbs. This morning I am 120lbs! It's been a slow and bumpy ride and I'm still going.

So what I wanted to say was real life happens and you get off track but no matter how many times I fail at fasting I know that ultimately it is the best way that helps my binging, overeating and emotional eating. Today I feel good about where I am headed..I guess I have to take it one day at a time. My goal is to be 104-110lbs. By august.

Will keep you posted! Hope all is well with you!!

Hi Yuna,
Great update. Sometime I binge too, but once I resume fasting, I'm fine. That's happening to you too! I'm sure you'll achieve your target through ESE. Keep going.

Anna
