3 Fasts Make a Huge Difference

I am doing a water fast every other day to start.

My first one was 18 hrs and it wasn't too bad. Then I did 24 hr and it was tougher but not awful. Yesterday I did a 22 hr fast (intending 24) and gave up the last two hrs as I was in a really crappy mood and wanted to eat!!! :) I wasn't bothered by hunger at all for about 20 hours though which is pretty good. AND...It is so much easier than I thought it would be.

So far I have lost 5 lbs in 6 days and my tummy is much smaller. What a wonderful sight!

I will keep it up until I lose at least 10 lbs. I am basically eating all day on one day and only dinner on the second. Eventually I might cut out breakfast, but after not eating much the whole day before I find I want breakfast, so I'm not going to fight it. I might end up on 2 meals a day we'll see. I am finding on the days I do eat "all day" I am also eating much less than before. Amazing.

The important thing is that I am eating SO much less than I used to. I am really proud of myself and I know it will all fall into place eventually (my fasting schedule and my body). I am unemployed right now and at home all day (tempting!) so I know things will change when I start working again. I will stay flexible until I work it out.

Editor's notes: Hi Patricia. 5 lbs in 6 days and a smaller tummy - GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS! Congratulations. In fact, losing 10 lbs by fasting isn't difficult. I'm sure more people will feel comfortable to join our row when they see these results from real fasters.

I strongly encourage a two-meal plan. This way of eating has worked so well for me. It is a easy-to-do long-term weight control plan. I've recently put up a new article in this website which you may want to read: Why Is 2 Meals Healthier Than 6?
